Overview

During each session, providers present patient histories, imaging, diagnostic findings, and proposed management plans. Participants collaboratively review surgical indications, operative strategies, non-operative alternatives, and patient-specific considerations to support evidence-based decision-making.

The conference brings together surgeons, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other members of the care team to promote shared learning, improve communication, and enhance coordination of care. Through interactive case discussion and application of current clinical guidelines and best practices, this activity is designed to strengthen clinical knowledge, support consistent treatment planning, and improve outcomes for patients with complex spinal conditions.


Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:


  1. Identify appropriate indications for surgical management of complex spine patients using current and evidence based guidelines.
  2. Discuss safe, comprehensive, patient-centered treatment plans incorporating imaging studies, clinical findings, and multidisciplinary input.
  3. Integrate team based discussion into their clinical workflow to improve consistency of care, communication, and patient outcomes.

This activity consists of a regularly scheduled multidisciplinary Spine Board conference focused on the review and discussion of complex spine cases. During each session, providers present patient histories, imaging, diagnostic findings, and proposed management plans. Participants collaboratively review surgical indications, operative strategies, non-operative alternatives, and patient-specific considerations to support evidence-based decision-making.

The conference brings together surgeons, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other members of the care team to promote shared learning, improve communication, and enhance coordination of care. Through interactive case discussion and application of current clinical guidelines and best practices, this activity is designed to strengthen clinical knowledge, support consistent treatment planning, and improve outcomes for patients with complex spinal conditions.
