This activity will aim to review evidence and guidelines supporting minimally invasive techniques in the surgical management of GI cancers, including colorectal, hepatopancreatobiliary, and upper gastrointestinal; Discuss patient selection criteria, considerations, and potential oncologic advantages of minimally invasive surgery compared to open approaches; and evaluate the role of emerging technologies including robotic-assisted surgery in expanding the scope and safety of minimally invasive cancer surgery.

1. Review evidence and guidelines supporting minimally invasive techniques in the surgical management of GI cancers, including colorectal, hepatopancreatobiliary, and upper gastrointestinal.
2. Discuss patient selection criteria, considerations, and potential oncologic advantages of minimally invasive surgery compared to open approaches.
3. Evaluate the role of emerging technologies including robotic-assisted surgery in expanding the scope and safety of minimally invasive cancer surgery.
