2025 NCH Multidisciplinary Thoracic Tumor Board (RSS) - 7/8/2025

Use the blue Register button to register for RSS Activities. This can be done all at once through the end of the year, per month, or per activity. It is important to register to ensure that your name is associated with the activity. 

Recording your attendance for RSS Activities can be done in one of three ways: QR Code scan through the CloudCME™ app, SMS Text to (630) 835-0554 using the code provided by the activity planner or using the Claim Credit button through the CloudCME™ app and entering the activity code provided by the planner.  Be sure a mobile # is included in your CloudCME™ profile so that you can SMS text your attendance without incident.

Evaluations for this conference are only sent out quarterly: March, June, September and December. Credits for these dates are not applied until evaluations have been completed. All other credit is applied directly to participant's transcript after the activity has taken place and after the participant has documented their attendance.

Approximately 39.5% of people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point during their lifetimes. By 2040, the number of new cancer cases per year is expected to rise to 29.5 million and the number of cancer-related deaths to 16.4 million. This conference reviews specific lung cancer cases to determine best practices, clinical approaches, and appropriate epidemiology for optimal patient outcomes. The cases present disciplinary problem(s) for which learners devise solutions under facilitation of the primary planner(s) or physician facilitator(s). This approach utilizes collaborative learning, facilitates the integration of knowledge among multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary teams, encourages learner self-reflection and critical reflection, allows for scientific inquiry, integrates higher level knowledge and practice, and supports the development of a variety of learning skills while optimizing patient outcomes through a team approach.

1. Design and evaluate treatment plan and course of care through the multidisciplinary team conference.
2. Analyze and compare treatment options for the best individual patient care outcomes.
3. Recognize patient barriers and possible solutions for quality patient care.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (0.75 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (0.75 hours)
