Stroke remains the second leading cause of death and the third leading cause of disability globally. In the United States, nearly 795,000 individuals suffer a stroke annually, with ischemic strokes accounting for 87% of cases. Despite these alarming numbers, the stroke mortality rate has seen a slight improvement, decreasing from 41.1 per 100,000 in 2021 to 39.5 per 100,000 in 2022 (1), highlighting the critical impact of rapid medical intervention. This CME activity is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of healthcare providers, including physicians and nurses, to ensure they are equipped with the latest evidence-based practices for delivering the highest standard of stroke care. By focusing on early recognition, timely treatment, and effective rehabilitation strategies, this program aims to improve outcomes and reduce the burden of stroke on both individuals and the healthcare system.
